The Jefferson Trust strives to foster a dynamic community of alumni and friends of the University of Virginia who provide catalytic grants in support of innovation and leadership. This donor-led initiative invests in people whose efforts can have a positive impact on the student experience, the University community, or society at large.
The UVA Parents Fund enhances the student experience through annual gifts from parents of current and former students. The Office of the Dean of Students assists students in navigating and developing a unique student experience, grounded in the history and traditions of one of the finest higher education institutions in the world. UVA's unique system of student self-governance, through which students are encouraged and empowered to play a meaningful role in decisions impacting the community, sits at the core of ODOS.
The Office for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion assists students from historically underrepresented groups. We commit ourselves to a vision of leadership in diversity and equity, not out of a reluctant sense of obligation but because only by enriching ourselves and embracing diversity can we become the leading institution we aspire to be.
This charming Southern & Mediterranean bistro and bar on the Corner provides great meals in a cozy atmosphere. Fig has been the first meal the prospective students eat and is always met with rave reviews. Thank you Fig for your food and hospitality!
The Bookstore is a self- supporting, non-profit organization that receives no local or state funding and is owned and operated by the University. We are dedicated to supporting both academic programs and student life. Our mission is to remain an integrated part of the life of the University by taking an active role in supporting students, faculty, staff, departments, and University initiatives. All of the Bookstore proceeds go directly back to the University in support of Access UVa and other UVA programs.
UVA Dining provides fresh and sustainable foods at multiple locations on Grounds. We are thankful to them for donating meal swipes for our participants to experience UVA's dining halls and the variety of foods they have to offer.
Rise Together is a nonprofit, outcome-driven team mentoring program that connects UVA students with K-12 youth in Albemarle County by providing consistent tutoring, leadership training, workforce readiness, entrepreneurial experience, and service learning opportunities designed to promote positive social norms, wellness, personal achievement, and build novel collaborative relationships between UVA and Charlottesville.
The Center for Diversity in Engineering is a student space dedicated to advocating for underrepresented groups in STEM—racial minorities, female, first-generation and low-income, and LGBTQ+ identifying students.
By encouraging boundless expression, the University Programs Council strives to enhance the UVA experience through programming creative, educational and entertaining programs for diverse audiences.
We are scholars, teachers, clinicians and innovators whose work promotes human development across a broad array of settings, experiences and backgrounds. We prepare leaders in the practice and study of education, health, wellbeing, and human services. We foster authentic partnerships linking application and scholarship. We build knowledge and tools for evidence-based application. We shape practice and policy to achieve important societal and personal outcomes.
Although this organization has members who are University of Virginia students and may have University employees associated or engaged in its activities and affairs, the organization is not a part of or an agency of the University. It is a separate and independent organization, which is responsible for and manages its own activities and affairs. The University does not direct, supervise or control the organization and is not responsible for the organization’s contracts, acts or omissions.
